concept:
Taking Benetton's logo as a starting point, this window display incorporates shapes that are abstracted from it and zoomed in on. These shapes form display boards that showcase the key product in an innovative way.
method:
We worked alongside the designers at Hotel Creative on this fantastic project for the windows at Benetton's flagship store in London's Oxford Street. Our technical team first concentrated on interpreting the design for construction and putting together complex technical plans for the cutting of the sheet materials, to maximise the quantity of elements we could achieve from each sheet of material. They also designed a steel frame which would hold each of the coloured pieces in place - this frame was constructed and built in our workshop. Each of the panels were then cut on our in house CNC machines, and put together almost like a jigsaw on to the steel frame to ensure the panels were perfectly aligned before being sprayed and installed on site.
